Ashridge Farm is a 200 acre working Organic farm with Sheep, Cattle, Chicken and Crops. Surrounded by beautiful peaceful countryside with rolling fields, ancient woods and quiet country lanes where the only sound are the sounds of nature, a tractor working in the fields and the occasional car.
The North and South Devon coast are within easy reach as is Dartmoor, were the film "War Horse" was filmed and Exmoor, the home of "Lorna Doone".
Most of the South West major attractions are within one and half hours driving, such as Lost Gardens of Heligan and The Eden project. There are other family attraction include Big Sheep and Crealy Park. The accommodation has been recently converted using natural materials were possible including Oak timber flooring, sheep's wool insulation and water based paints, making the rooms allergy free. All heating, including the under floor and hot water is provided by an environmental award winning wood pellet burning system.
There is a large lawn for children to play safely. Farm animals to feed and eggs to pick up for breakfast.
Ashridge and the surrounding area offers wonderful walks along the way marked trails on the farm and well signed local footpaths.
