Our B&B rooms are in the oldest part of the house which dates back to the 15th century. Each room is bright and comfortable, they are furnished & decorated using eco-paints, reclaimed furniture and cotton bedding. Breakfast ingredients are either organic or sourced locally. Our aim is to help you feel relaxed in our home, our beds are so comfortable you may not want to get up in the morning!
There are no TV’s but wi-fi is available if you want to connect with the outside world!Apart from the drinking water in the kitchen, all the water at Bumblebee Farm comes from our spring and is heated for at least half the year by the sun.
Dogs: We have two resident miniature Dachshunds and three cats who live on the farm. They do not go into our Bed & Breakfast rooms but we do have accommodation available that is suitable for guests and their dogs. We ask guests who wish to bring their dogs to call us first before making your booking so we can have a chat about how we can accommodate you.
Children: Bumblebee Farm is not suitable for small children because our aim is to create a feeling of peace and tranquillity for our guests. However, if you would like to book all of our rooms for a large party, including children, we would be very happy to accommodate them.
Wheelchair access: Unfortunately the farmhouse at Bumblebee Farm is full of narrow doorways and steps. The land is currently quite uneven and work in progress. Listed building planning is proving a bit of a nightmare, but we are currently looking for funding to convert one of the outbuildings to make it wheelchair friendly accommodation with easy access to the kitchen for breakfast. In time, and with a lot of help from lovely volunteers, the land will also be more accessible to wheelchairs – so watch this space!
