Nim’s Fruit Crisps was launched in November 2012 from the inspiration of single mother and entrepreneurial cafe owner, Nimisha Raja. Nimisha’s cafe sat opposite a school and was popular with children wanting to buy the usual treats - chocolates, crisps, biscuits.
As a conscientious mother herself, she started to investigate the reasons why kids tend to follow the same pattern on unhealthy snacking. She soon realised that while chocolate satisfies their sugar cravings, they want crisps as much for the texture and crunchiness as for the taste. What hit home was the clear absence of healthy, tasty snacks available that children wanted to eat!
So, the search began and uniting the right flavours and textures in a healthy form soon became the birth and backbone of Nim’s Fruit Crisps. Nimisha developed a product crafted on the perfect balance between sweetness and texture, and improved the flavour by combining two types of fruit in each packet. In short, she Re-Invented what it means to eat fruit for children and adults alike!
Now, various flavours of Nim’s Fruit Crisps can be regularly found in school bags, backpacks, handbags and food cupboards across London, as well as many independent stores, Planet Organic, food fairs, Farmers' Markets and in several schools. They are also being shipped around the world!
