AquaBlue Group S-ShowCase - Solution
AquaBlue Group is currently developing the commercial roll-out for 2019 including single farming units and sustainable hatcheries to serve land-based sea cucumber aquaculture sites in Southeast Asia, also within Thailand.
The land-based sea cucumber farm sites will be operational in 2019 and focus on breeding two species of sea cucumber. At this stage, the focus will only be on scabra but other high-value species can and will also be investigated for future commercial sustainable land-based aquaculture farms.
Farming sustainable seafood and medicinal ingredients, the aquaculture site will be used for environmentally friendly intensive farming to produce high per hectare yields for the commercial market. The project will involve extensive farming too, with conservation efforts achieved through ranching sites and small-scale fisheries set up by direct seeding of juveniles. We will help restock the ocean and encourage greater sustainability while benefiting Thailand's mangroves and coral reefs.
The sea cucumber farms in Thailand will benefit local communities as well as marine life and determine fishery potentials.
Aquaculture has become the only real solution in feeding the world and future populations with sustainable seafood.
